Zafar Bhat,
Jammu: In J&K, the far flung areas require assess the needs of the people by the state government, as there is need to review the developmental works in those areas. However, the people of remote areas of the state faces various problems which are needed to be redress as early as possible. Meanwhile, there are long pending developmental projects which have not been completed within the time frame, which reveals triviality of the Government toward remote and far flung areas. While, it is for the state government to direct the concerned officials to redress the various problems of common mass, whereas the officials should expedite various projects without compromising on quality. Many countryside areas of District Udhampur, Kathua and Jammu demand the focus attention from Government. There are grievances of the people regarding road widening, macdamization, power situation, water supply and other issues. Lack of various facilities in the area and bad condition of government building has created chaos in local people. Despite that the people have also complained of lack of medical staff and ambulance. They also demanded that the main road should be macadamized and Higher Secondary School be upgraded and Dub irrigation canal be de-silted.
Thus, the concerned official should bound to their duty and to address the issues at the earliest. The Government officials should conduct awareness camps in the area so that people get to know about various developmental schemes and livelihood of youth is ensured. It is pertinent to mention here that the visits during elections and making the promise, which never get fulfilled wouldn’t be accepted anymore, the transparency in the system itself change the long prevailing practice of misgoverning.
